I must admit…Collingwood played like a premiership team. They were hungry, they were ruthless and they didn’t wobble.

Good on Collingwood….the best team won.

as a pies supporter i want nathan buckley as coach of collingwood but not in 2012
i say give mick another two years, he deserves it

Honestly yes. He’s young enough that it’s not going to make too much difference. You would assume he’s at the club for life, so why take the risk so early.

I say win the GF first. Then sit down and tear up the contract…offer Buckley a substantial raise, and tell Mick the job is yours until you step down.

The club is on the verge of greatness, don’t mess with that now.

What will Deedubyu say…he might want the job himself?

Should he? Probably should for good of the club, I mean if Collingwood win this years flag and odds are they will that would have to be first, the coach stepping down/getting the boot which ever way you look at it.

The present side with Malthouse at the helm could win up to 4 flags, now Buckley is about to swoop and make his name on the back of Malthouses good coaching.

Having said all that, Buckley will be the Collingwood senior coach from 2012.

No ! A deals a deal, this is not politics where you can squirm out of your obligation, Nathan Buckley deserves and should coach Collingwood next seaon ( end of story )

The deal is for Malthouse to step down at the end of the year, but if he goes on to lead Collingwood to another premiership then he won’t want to. Buckley wants to take over but with a good team under his name I don’t reckon Malthouse will step back. The contract states that Malthouse steps down, but I don’t believe he should when he has such a good team.

Of course the AFL won’t be rocked by a scandal. The AFL is an angel compared to the NRL.
